ARCHITECTURE

This may be the thinnest building in Japan! This ultra slim commercial building sits on a 2.2m wide plot of land in central Shibuya. Despite its compact size, we wanted the structure to stand out among this densely populated shopping district,. We therefore clad it with a striking black stainless steel facade, and a vibrant rooftop LED billboard block to boost its commercial appeal.

渋谷の中心街、間口2.2ｍの敷地に計画した商業ビル。
ブラックステンレスのファサードは建物を周囲からきっかりと浮かび上がらせ、狭小ながらもその存在感を示している。
商業的なアピールとして大きな訴求効果を持つ屋上のLEDビジョンは、荷重条件が厳しい中最大限の大きさを確保した。
雑多な建物が並ぶ渋谷の街並みで、わずか2ｍのファサードが、商業的な価値を創造するよう様々な検討を重ねた。
