  • The building is situated in a “valley,” sandwiched between two ten-story buildings on either side, making it essential to enhance its presence as a commercial building. To increase the perceived volume, a full-surface expanded-metal screen was installed on the exterior façade and extended approximately 3 meters above the roofline, giving the building an apparent height equivalent to a four-story structure. In addition, the design emphasizes verticality to reinforce a stronger sense of height. The façade composition was intentionally kept simple in contrast to the cluttered surrounding streetscape, distilled into two primary elements: vertical frames and expanded metal. The color scheme adopts a monochromatic bronze tone, creating a refined and high-quality impression. At night, LED lighting is deliberately installed behind the expanded metal (on the building side), creating a contrast of “light and shadow” across the façade and producing a striking presence that appears to rise above the surrounding buildings.
