ARCHITECTURE

Located behind Prada on Miyuki Dori, Tokyo, this playful project for a leading fashion house combines solid and void elements in a modern twist. While the first floor is clad in glass to increase the shop frontage, the top of the building is covered in extruded aluminium that glows at night like a beacon.

この建物は、MARC・JACOBSが入店し、CDIは日本側の設計者として参加した。
敷地は表参道から一歩入った青山みゆき通りに面した、高級ブティックが多く立ち並ぶエリアに位置する。
ガラスによる開放感のある1階のショップフロント、ルーバータイルで覆われた2階のファサードと、パンチングメタルで覆われた屋上空間の、質感の異なる3層のファサードによって構成されている。
次々に挑戦的な建築物が立ち現れるエリアで、シンプルで独特な存在感を示している。
